About ComparingTools

Placeholder content: the team bios below are illustrative and must be replaced with real names, titles, and verifiable credentials before this page goes live.

ComparingTools is an independent SaaS comparison site run by a small team of marketers and affiliates who make part of their living from the programs and tools we write about. We started this site because most affiliate-program listicles are copy-pasted from each other and never mention a cookie window, a payout threshold, or a reason a program might not be a good fit. We wanted to fix that.

Who runs this site

[Placeholder Name], Editor — [Placeholder Name] has run content and affiliate partnerships for SaaS companies for [X] years and has personally held active affiliate accounts with more than a dozen of the tools reviewed on this site. [He/She/They] leads program verification and final review of every page.

[Placeholder Name], Research Lead — [Placeholder Name] focuses on AI search visibility and GEO tooling, testing each platform's free trial or entry tier directly before it's added to a comparison.

How we test and verify

Every commission rate, cookie duration, and price on this site is checked directly against the vendor's own official pricing or affiliate-program page at the time of writing, not copied from other blogs. Where a program's terms are ambiguous, tiered, or conflict between two of the vendor's own pages, we say so in the review rather than picking the more flattering number. Pricing and AI tools change often, so every page carries a visible “Last updated” date and is scheduled for re-verification at least once per quarter, or sooner if we're notified of a change.

Our review policy

We only rank a tool or program if at least one team member has reviewed its official documentation directly, and we do not accept payment in exchange for a specific ranking position or a more favorable review. Omnia, the AI-visibility platform, is one of the tools we recommend and one of the programs we earn a commission from; it is included in comparisons where it's relevant, but it is deliberately not placed first in every ranking. If a tool that pays us a commission has a real limitation, a short cookie window, or a cheaper competitor, we say so.

How we make money

ComparingTools earns affiliate commissions when readers sign up for some of the tools we recommend, including Omnia. This is how we keep the site free and independently written. It does not change our rankings or reviews. See our full affiliate disclosure for details.
